Microsoft NERD Artificial Intelligence Program

On October 19th, the Microsoft New England R&D center (NERD) announced the creation of a new two-year, cohort program in Artificial Intelligence for graduates of BS, MS and PhD degrees, who are eligible for full-time employment beginning July, 2018. Microsoft NERD Artificial Intelligence Program (15 spots starting in July, 2018)

A new technology paradigm is emerging, one with an intelligent cloud and an intelligent edge. To foster Microsoft’s leadership in this field, we are introducing a ground-breaking new program to develop the next generation of leaders in AI. 

Located at the Microsoft New England Research and Development Center (NERD), the AI Rotational Program is hiring graduates from BS, MS, and PhD programs. Over the course of two years, participants will partner closely with engineering teams across Microsoft to solve some of our most challenging problems. In addition, you will have mentors and access to numerous AI researchers and engineers across the company. After the program is complete, each participant will have the opportunity to work in one of our businesses in New England or another Microsoft location.

We are hiring a cohort of 15 graduates with a PhD /MS/BS degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics or other relevant fields, and any of the following experiences:

  • Experience in any of the deep learning frameworks
  • Experience in developing in C/C++/Java/C# and 1+  scripting languages
  • Experience in program management and customer design
  • Experience in designing and developing high-scale distributed systems
