This event offers the opportunity for our industry partners to learn about the data science research completed by our Master's and PhD students, for recruiting for internships and full-time positions.

How will this work?

After you register you will receive a link to the event page on the Symposium platform. On the day of the event, visit the event page to watch the Opening General Session, then explore the on-demand presentations. From 1:15 to 2:30 pm ET, drop in to student Zoom rooms (Zoom links will be listed for each presentation) to chat and network with students.

 

What is the agenda?

Friday, October 16

12:00 - 12:15 Opening General Session

12:15 - 1:15 Attendees view posters/presentations and videos on-demand.

1:15 - 2:30 Attendees can drop in to student Zoom rooms for discussion and networking

 

Will students be presenting live?

No. The only live session will be the Opening General Session. After that, attendees will have time to view student research presentations on-demand. During the 1:15 - 2:30 time frame, attendees can drop in to individual student  Zoom rooms for discussion and networking.

 

How long will the research presentations be available on the Symposium website?

The event page on Symposium will remain open until Thursday October 29 at 5pm.

 

What is Symposium by Forager One?

Symposium is a new platform that allows presenters to share their material with attendees in a “virtual poster session” environment.

 

How do I register?

If you are a student interested in presenting your research, see the Student Info page.

For industry and other guests, please complete the registration form to receive access to the event platform.

 

I’m not available at that time on October 16. Can I still view the research presentations?

Yes. The research presentations will be available for on-demand viewing until Thursday October 29 at 5 pm. You should register for the event, even if you can’t attend on the day of, so that you receive access to the event page.
