Come join GRiD for our annual Weekend Hackathon!
We’ll be exploring water contamination datasets, especially as it relates to lead contamination in Flint, MI. Meals will be provided throughout the weekend, including dinner Friday, breakfast/lunch/dinner on Saturday, and breakfast/lunch on Sunday.
Participants will be competing in teams to:
- design a project question
- import and clean data
- build a model to answer their project question
- use data visualization to explain their results
- present to a panel of judges and peers.
Throughout the weekend, technical workshops will be provided on topics such as project question formation, data cleaning, and data visualization.
Registration is open to any graduate students from the Five Colleges, regardless of experience with data science. Undergraduates may compete by invitation. Food and prizes will be provided.
LGRT 1634 will be open and available for use from 5:30pm-12:00am on Friday February 24, from 8:00am-12:00am on Saturday February 25, and from 8:00am to 3:00pm on Sunday February 26.
