Description: This project aims to study the transition from traditional “grab sample” water quality monitoring to continuous, sensor-based monitoring in Buzzards Bay, Massachusetts. It will examine the technological and social dimensions of this transition, including sustaining volunteer engagement, determining optimal monitoring locations, and managing and interpreting large amounts of sensor data. Data Core specifically will work on creating an effective database management system.
