If you have a well formed AI-in-Research idea and are looking to accelerate your work, consider applying for our spring angel award program. This program provides no-cost and low-cost longer term engagements with our staff of AI and software engineers.
Submissions will be accepted starting on January 1, 2025.
Deadline to submit is January 15,2025.
SELECTION CRITERIA
- Potential for future funding
- External grants
- New collaborations
- PI’s plan to pursue future funding
- Innovative use of artificial intelligence
- Creative application of AI – predictive AI or generative AI
- Project impact and research signficance
- Is ML/AI the right tool to advance the work?
- Answers meaningful research questions
- Feasibility in 10 weeks
- Proof of concept must be possible in a semester
- Data and resource availability
- Resources include 1-2 students from dataCore plus project oversight
- PI commitment and engagement
- PI availability during the semester to help with the project
- Regular meetings with the team
- Help with access to data
