DS4CG 2024 POSTER SESSION RECAP

On September 18th, we proudly hosted the 2024 Data Science for the Common Good (DS4CG) Poster Session! Attendees enjoyed lunch and the chance to engage with the 2024 DS4CG fellows as they presented their projects, offering firsthand insights into the impactful work they completed over the summer.

DS4CG is a unique summer program that trains aspiring data scientists to tackle real-world challenges for the common good. This year’s projects involved improving methods for analyzing media, enhancing predictive models of species’ geographic ranges for researchers and citizen scientists, and improving data collection processes for clinics and hospitals. Key partners included Media Cloud, iNaturalist, and Doctors Without Borders.

If you couldn’t attend the session, you can still explore the project demos and learn more about this year’s work by visiting the “DS4CG 2024” section of our website’s projects page.
