    • The research problem you want to address
    • Why AI/ML is relevant
    • The expected outcome by the end of the semester

Describe the research problem or question driving the project.

4.2 Project Goals

Goals for the Spring 2026 prototype phase.

  1. Data Description
    • Is the data already available
    • Data size, structure, format
    • Any privacy, IRB, or access considerations
  1. Proposed AI/ML Approach
    • What type(s) of AI you think may apply (predictive, descriptive, decision-support, generative, etc.)
    • What tasks the AI/ML system will perform
  1. Expected Deliverables (by May 2026)

Examples:

    • Prototype model or algorithm
    • Exploratory analysis or baseline results
    • Data preprocessing or ingestion pipeline
    • Dashboard or visualization tool
  1. Potential for Future Funding and Impact
  1. PI Commitment and Availability
    • Meet with the dataCore team every 1–2 weeks
