UMAss Data Science Club
Our club strives to create a community for UMass Amherst undergraduates who share a common interest in data science. We aim to provide members with the experience they need to achieve their data science goals by conducting group projects, utilizing graduate school resources, providing career advice, and facilitating industry connections.

National Student Data Science Corps
The NSDC Institutional Chapter at University of Massachusetts Amherst was built with the aim to create a safe space where students and researchers from all studies can educate each other, share knowledge and techniques applying data science, and promote camaraderie.


BUILD UMASS
BUILD provides a venue for students to gain academic and practical knowledge about software development, web development, and tech consulting. We are BUILDING our community through the pro-bono services we offer to nonprofits, startups, and local businesses.
UMASS Girls who code
Girls Who Code is an international nonprofit dedicated to closing the gender gap in tech. Among 150+ other chapters on other campuses, College Loop @ UMass Amherst is an on-campus organization bringing new technical workshops, events, resources and support to women in tech!


UMASS PRODUCT
UMass Product is a student organization in the Manning College of Information and Computer Sciences that helps students explore careers in product management. The club brings together students interested in tech, product thinking, and innovation. Weekly meetings include discussions on tech trends, product thinking workshops, case studies, and PM recruitment prep.
All UMass undergrad and grad students are welcome to join. The club also shares helpful resources like internship/job listings, recommended courses, and ways to get involved on campus.
Meetings: Wednesdays at 7 PM in the CICS Makerspace (A104 LGRC).
Past EVENTS

Five College Datafest
DataFest is a nationally-coordinated undergraduate competition in which teams of up to 5 students work over a weekend to extract insight from a rich and complex data set. Previous years’ data sets have included crime data from the LAPD, dating data from eHarmony, and energy use data from GridPoint.
Voices of Data Science
With Voices of Data Science, our mission is to provide a platform to amplify the voices of data scientists, especially those from underrepresented communities. We aspire to build a strong and inclusive network of data scientists with a shared vision to use data science for common good. This year, we celebrate and showcase the success of data scientists from marginalized communities.
